Putney MP Justine Greening has been invited to take part in a consultation launched by the Port of London Authority (PLA) regarding a project to develop a Vision for the tidal Thames. Justine wants to hear your views so she can make sure they are part of her own submission to the consultation.
The aim of the project is to determine how local people want to see the river used in the future, and how the use of the Thames could be further developed for trade, travel, leisure and sport, as well as enhancing the river environment itself. For more information visit and to submit your thoughts to the PLA visit http://www.pla.co.uk/About-Us/The-Thames-Vision.
The initial consultation asked people to think about what they value most about the River Thames and what their priorities are for the future of the river. The PLA is holding a series of public meetings to discuss people's ideas further before they being to draw up any initial proposals. The first meeting in Putney was held on 14th May 2015 and was aimed at getting people to discuss their ideas for the river.
Justine wants to hear your views on how you would like to see the river used in future so please do take my online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/tidalthames, ideally by 19th June 2015.
